Neil Boyer, former U.S. serviceman, and his wife Elena recently moved to Aurora, CO to become franchise owners of Dryer Vent Wizard, a rapidly growing national franchise that specializes in dryer vent repair, replacement, alteration, cleaning and maintenance in an effort to prevent dryer fires.

“I was especially attracted to the energy efficiency side of this business,” said Boyer.

The Boyers’ partnered with the Aurora Chamber of Commerce for an official ribbon cutting ceremony to kick off their new business on September 11, 2012.

“Having spent time serving in the military in Iraq and Afghanistan following 9/11, I chose the date to signify a fresh start for me and my wife Elena,” said Boyer. ”The Aurora Chamber of Commerce has been extremely helpful in getting us started.”

It is estimated that over 17,000 fires are caused by clothes dryers annually. During National Fire Prevention Month in October, Dryer Vent Wizard of Aurora will be among dozens of franchises available to provide dryer fire prevention tips at local fire stations.
