The risk of home fires soars during cold winter months. To help protect the community, Dryer Vent Wizard of Northern Nevada nominated the Reno Fire Department to receive a $500 Dryer Vent Wizard Fire Prevention Month grant. Due to the Reno Fire Department's excellent community outreach efforts and fire education programs, we're thrilled to select them as one of this year's grant recipients!
This grant will be used to buy 100 new smoke alarms to keep high-risk and low income families safe this winter. Home owners within the Reno area can stop by the Reno Fire Department to pick up a smoke alarm or use the Project SAFE Program to have an alarm installed for free.
